Sunday, 8th June 2008 you will meet the local English speaking guide at the USAMV headquarter, from where you start the Bucharest city tour. You drive from the beautiful northern part of capital city, passing by the Arch of Triumph and the largest park of the city, Herastrau, towards south, heading to the Parliament Palace.

Driving on the main boulevards you can admire en route beautiful buildings such as the Victory Palace, the George Enescu Music Museum, the Romanian Academy, the Museum of Art Collections, the Athenaeum and the National University Library. At the Revolution square you make a short stop to find out more about the events of 1989 revolution.

Afterwards you continue your drive on the Victory Avenue from where you can admire the old city center with its buildings of the 19th century and you arrive in short time at the Parliament Palace, where you have an inside guided tour. The Parliament Palace, known also as the House of People, is the second largest building in the world by area after the Pentagon and the third by volume, being 2% larger than the Keops Pyramid.

The tour continues by a short stop in front of the Parliament Palace and with the visit of the Patriarchal Church, the seat of the Patriarch, the Head of the Romanian Orthodox Church. At the same time we can see here other wonderful sights, like the Patriarchal Palace, as well as the Bell Tower of the Patriarchal Church. Furthermore you drive to the Village Museum that covers 18 Ha. During the years, there have been gathered here houses from all over Romania. An image of the life of the Romanian villager is strongly spotlighted.
